Fieldbus configuration

With Automation Studio, the integration and configuration of fieldbuses is just as easy as with classic I/O modules. Fieldbus modules are added directly to the desired fieldbus interface and clearly displayed in the hardware tree of the project.

All fieldbus modules and connected devices can be added to the system structure from the hardware catalog. The graphical user interface makes it easy to assign and adapt all I/O channels – centrally and transparently in the hardware tree.

Thanks to the powerful import function, device descriptions from the respective providers (e.g. GSD, EDS) can be read in directly. This guarantees a standardized interface and enables the rapid integration of a wide variety of fieldbus devices into your automation solution.

Automation Studio supports numerous common fieldbus systems, including POWERLINK, PROFIBUS DP, PROFINET, Modbus TCP and CANopen.
