The integration of Automation Studio in APROL gives you access to AS functions and ensures efficient, end-to-end configuration of your automation solutions.

Benefit from a clearly structured hardware view that displays the active hardware tree for your configuration. Each component can be specifically selected and individually configured according to its properties.

Simply add the required interface modules to the desired interface or local I/O bus and configure them directly. The intuitive operation enables fast and error-free I/O assignment.

In monitor mode, you test all I/O modules configured in the project and their channels directly on a physical level. You can display the current values of the channels and set outputs independently of the programmed logic value – ideal for commissioning and maintenance.

Automation Studio offers a wide range of diagnostic tools that enable efficient error analysis and optimization of your automation solution.

The Automation Runtime runtime system offers a powerful, nonvolatile system logbook. All errors, warnings and notes that occur during runtime are automatically and permanently logged.

The Profiler integrated in Automation Studio offers powerful analysis functions for monitoring your runtime system load. The Profiler gives you detailed insights into the load and behavior on your system during operation. This allows resource bottlenecks and optimization potential to be identified at an early stage. The Profiler data obtained serves as a basis for the targeted optimization of your project. By analyzing and adapting the system load, you can increase the efficiency and reliability of your automation solution over the long term.

In Automation Studio, fieldbuses can be added easily and flexibly at the desired fieldbus interface just like I/O modules. Configuration and I/O mapping is carried out intuitively via the project's clearly laid out hardware tree – like all other I/O modules. Thanks to the import function for device descriptions (e.g. GSD, EDS) from the respective provider, you have a standardized and convenient interface at your disposal. This means that a wide variety of fieldbus devices can be quickly integrated and configured.

Automation Studio offers a wide selection of powerful libraries. In addition to the standardized IEC 61131-3 libraries, numerous additional function packages are available.

As quality requirements in the automation industry increase, so does the need for powerful simulation solutions. Realistic and meaningful simulation models are indispensable today in order to comprehensively test and validate the behavior of an automation solution before commissioning.
