  • With PAL, you can rely on a future-proof, standardized and yet individually adaptable solution for your process automation needs!
  • Universal applicability for all industries
  • Intuitive, high-res user interfaces
  • Extensive system and maintenance functions integrated
  • Flexible signal monitoring and priority control
  • Simple simulation and commissioning support

Simple application and clear user interfaces

PAL offers ready-to-use blocks with clearly designed faceplates. Modern scalable vector graphic symbols (SVGs) ensure a high-resolution, scalable display and intuitive operability.

Integrated system functionality

Extensive system functions are available directly at the measuring point (TAG), including

Shift logbook with note function
Trend display
Alarm reports

Exclusive operator functions

Selective access blocking:
The operator can specifically block access to individual measuring points.

Control computer dependency:
The access locking can be linked to a specific control computer.

Service and maintenance functions

Service and maintenance functions are integrated directly in the blocks. No additional configuration work is required.

Flexible operating philosophy

The operating philosophy can be set individually via parameters or wiring – with or without confirmation.

Comprehensive signal monitoring

Each PAL block monitors the full signal status, including configuration errors, software errors, I/O module errors, open circuit

Priority commands and interlocks

Priority commands:
"Command Priority" and "Command Priority Manual" enable prioritized switching behavior.

Interlocking:
Switching operations by operators and automatic commands can be specifically locked.

Simulation and loop check

A simulation of measured values is possible directly from the faceplate – ideal for loop checks and commissioning.

Cascading interlock block

The configurable interlock block enables the display, bridging and flexible interconnection of digital signals. Various gate types and step-shaped display options ensure maximum flexibility.

Powerful analog value monitoring

  • Additional scaling options in the faceplate
  • Average filter scalable up to 30 seconds
  • Simulation by switching between a live and dummy value
  • Limit value monitoring for 3x high and 3x low monitoring of value changes (rate of change)

Versatile digital value monitoring

Display, bridging and normalization of digital input signals, time delay, storage, alarming and trend recording

Faceplates/Subfaceplates

Faceplates provide clear interfaces where all important information and basic data for a component such as a controller can be centrally displayed and used. This gives the user immediate access to status information, values and basic settings without having to navigate to deeper levels. They are therefore used for quick diagnosis and convenient use during active operation.

Subfaceplates are extensions or detailed views that can be called up from faceplates to make further settings or show more in-depth diagnostics for a component. They provide detailed information that is usually not constantly needed in the normal operating overview.

Control diagrams

In addition to faceplates and subfaceplates, comprehensive display options are also available for simple and flexible creation of control diagrams, which can be used to clearly display and configure even complex control structures.
